ASSOCIATE GENERAL MANAGER

Miguel A. Ortiz (he/him) has been working in professional theatre for nearly 25 years, getting his first start as an usher at Disney’s The Lion King at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

Miguel soon transitioned into management roles on the 1st and 2nd national tours of The Lion King. He continued touring for 14 years with productions including The Color Purple, 9 to 5 the Musical, The Addams Family, Wicked, and Motown the Musical, which closed in 2016 and marked the end of his time on the road.

After returning to New York, Miguel managed the Broadway productions of A Bronx Tale, Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, David Byrne’s American Utopia, A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical, Tammy Faye, and Hell’s Kitchen. He also briefly detoured to San Francisco in 2019 to mount the West Coast premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

He is very excited to continue his career in NY with the ShowTown team.
